The Bulls have been forced to postpone their next two games with 10 players out with COVID-19 but White Sox star Tim Anderson is ready to fill in.

The Chicago Bulls have been absolutely ravaged by a COVID-19 outbreak within the organization. 10 players have now been ruled out due to the virus and, as a result, the NBA postponed the team’s next two games this week in hopes of Chicago being able to return at full health soon.

In the meantime, though, a fellow star athlete in Chicago is ready to step in for if they give him a call — especially since his own sport is currently locked out with no end in sight.

After news broke about the Bulls adding Alize Johnson, the 10th player, to the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Chicago White Sox infielder Tim Anderson took to Twitter to let his crosstown NBA team that he’s ready to take the floor at the United Center during the MLB lockout.

Though we’re probably not going to see Anderson live out the NBA version of The Replacements, the White Sox star does have a bit of game on the hardwood.

Anderson was a high school basketball star as the 6-foot-1 shortstop and helped lead his team to a state championship in Alabama before primarily switching his focus to baseball — something that White Sox fans are certainly thankful for.

Regardless, the dream of playing for the Bulls isn’t going to come to fruition. But the team certainly has to appreciate the offer from one of Chicago’s best pro athletes currently playing.
