Among the many celebrities at Super Bowl LVI was Lakers star LeBron James, who was enjoying the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show by dancing to the music.

Earlier in the 2021, LeBron James was one of the many people who encouraged Odell Beckham Jr. to move to Los Angeles Rams. When OBJ arrived in November, James welcomed him with open arms.

Three months later, Beckham Jr. caught the first touchdown pass in the Super Bowl, and James was in the crowd to cheer on OBJ and the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

While the Rams and Bengals were planning their second half gameplans, LeBron and the rest of the stadium were enjoying the hip hop legends performing in the Super Bowl Halftime Show. When surprise guest 50 Cent appeared, LeBron lost it as he jammed out to “In Da Club.”

LeBron confirmed that he was a big fan of the all-star performance, declaring it the “greatest halftime show” the 37-year-old power forward has ever seen.

LeBron James enjoys the ‘greatest’ Super Bowl Halftime Show

What James and others have noted is that the Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show, which featured a stellar cast of hip hop artists, is a meaningful ode to Black culture and Black history.

Past Super Bowl halftime performances have often featured rock bands and pop stars, but never an exclusive cast of hip hop artists. The Super Bowl cast also paid homage to Los Angeles’ hip hop history, featuring Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Anderson .Paak. New York rappers 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige also performed, as well as Detroit legend Eminem.

As for James grooving to 50 Cent’s classic, the music might have taken him back to an important year in his life. When 50 Cent released his breakout classic album , “Get Rich or Die Tryin’”, James was drafted into the NBA as the No. 1 overall pick. The Akron, Ohio native played for the Cleveland Cavaliers for seven years before winning through different rings with three different NBA teams — including the Cavaliers in 2016.
