Some big injury news has come in for the Chicago Bulls on Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams with the postseason inching closer and closer.

With the Chicago Bulls losing five of their last six games, the fanbase has been in some serious need of some good news. Well, it has arrived with head coach Billy Donovan providing great injury updates on Alex Caruso and Patrick Williams.

Both players have missed extensive action this season due to wrist injuries, but Donovan said they’ve both been cleared to step up their rehabs and they could be back on the hardwood by the end of the month.

The Chicago Bulls are set to get back to full strength at the right time

Caruso suffered a fractured wrist on Jan. 21, while Williams has been out since October after he tore ligaments in his left wrist. Donovan said the hope is the two could participate in five-on-five scrimmages on Friday.

“He’s certainly progressing pretty well,” Donovan said on Williams via the Chicago Tribune. “Because of the extent of the surgery and how meticulous the surgery needed to be, the doctors are very, very conscientious of getting into a place where he’s had adequate enough time to really, really heal. So that’s why they’ve given him the opportunity to do a little bit more physically.”

On top of that, the expectation is that Lonzo Ball (knee) could also get back on the court for the Bulls as well later this month. That’d be three massive returns for Donovan and Chicago, which is 40-26 on the year and in fourth place of the Eastern Conference standings.

The team has been able to stay above water with some key pieces missing, but the Bulls are about to get back to full strength. That’s bad news for the rest of the conference.
