The Golden State Warriors will be without superstar shooting guard Steph Curry indefinitely due to a foot injury.

Some more injury adversity is on the way for the Golden State Warriors. While the fanbase has grown used to that with Klay Thompson, this time it’s Steph Curry who will be off the hardwood for a little while.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Curry has suffered a sprained ligament in his left foot. Although the team is lucky Curry didn’t suffer any major damage, this foot injury will keep him out of action indefinitely.

Steph Curry’s foot injury isn’t as serious as originally thought

Golden State is most definitely relieved that it’s only a sprained ligament, as many people out there were fearing the worst on Curry. Luckily, this isn’t a season-ending deal. That would have been the worst-case scenario for this squad. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Curry should be ready to rock for start of the playoffs.

Thus far this season, the Warriors have been fantastic, sitting in third place of the Western Conference standings with their 47-24 record. Golden State is behind the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies, respectively.

As for Curry, he’s been shooting lights out like normal. Curry is averaging 25.5 points per contest, adding 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds a night too. When Curry catches fire, there are few players in the league who shoot the rock better than he does.

With Curry sidelined, the Warriors will now look to Thompson to try and take over offensively. Thompson is scoring nearly 18 points a game after missing the past two seasons due to his ACL tear and torn Achilles. With Curry out for around a month, Warriors fans will be ready to see what Thompson can do.
